WORK

1. When you are doing any work, do not think of anything beyond; he works best who works without any motive.

2. Therefore, to work properly, you have first to give up the idea of attachment; never will unhappiness or misery come through work done without attachment.

3. He, who in good action sees that there is something evil in it, and in midst of evil, sees that there is something good in it somewhere, has known the secret of work.

4. The greatest work is done only when there is no selfish motive to prompt it; the main effect of work done for others is to purify ourselves.

5. The calmer we remain, the better for us, and we can then do more work; the more you work to help others, the more you help yourself.

6. We must do our duty for duty's sake, not for the hope of reward; ours is to work, the results will take care of themselves.

7. Work what you feel about and let the world see it; we will do great things for doing good for the world, and not for name and fame.

8. To work unattached brings the highest bliss and freedom; that work alone brings unattachment and bliss, wherein we work as masters of our own minds.

9. All work has ups and downs, periods of intensity and slackness; every work has got to pass through hundreds of difficulties before succeeding.

10. No work is petty, it can be judged by results only; great work requires persistent effort for a long time.
