DIFFERENT TASTES OF FOOD

·         There are 6 primary tastes of food – neutral, sour, salty, pungent, bitter and astringent.
·         These tastes affect your metabolism differently.

1. Neutral taste
·         This taste increases tissue development, body fluids, fat, bone and nerve tissue.
·         It supports immunity and growth including reproduction.
·         It gives emotional satisfaction, vigour and strength.
·         Taken in excess, it causes obesity, accumulation of toxins, diabetes, obstructions in the body’s channels (atherosclerosis), gas, indigestion, dyspnea, cough, cold, vomiting, loss of appetite and lethargy.

2. Sour (acidic) taste
·         This taste stimulates digestion and builds body tissues like the natural taste.
·         However, it has little action on growth and none on reproduction.
·         It helps the senses to function, promotes strength and causes secretions of fluids in the body.
·         Taken in excess, it causes acidity in the small intestine, burning, itching, premature aging and light-headedness.

3. Salty taste
·         This taste promotes digestion, lessens accumulation of toxins and tissues, increases saliva, and has a mild laxative effect.
·         Taken in excess, it causes inflammation, skin diseases, impotence, premature aging and water retention.

4. Pungent (spicy) taste
·         This taste dispels gas and induces sweating.
·         It heats the body and cleans the blood and skin.
·         Taken in excess, it causes pain, emaciation, burning sensations, fever, thirst, skin diseases and diminishing of reproductive fluids.

5. Bitter taste
·         This taste is the best blood purifier and cleaner of toxins.
·         It has the effect to reduce tissues and fluids and relieves burning in the body.
·         Taken in excess, it causes coldness in the body, nervous disorders, stiffness, colic pain, headaches and reduction of reproductive fluids.

6. Astringent taste
·         This taste constricts tissues and channels in the body, which help to maintain muscle tissue and tone.
·         It heals the mucus membranes and the skin.
·         Taken in excess, it causes dryness of the body, constipation, cramps, emaciation, thirst, nervous disorders and decreased reproductive fluids.
